There are a number of financial aid opportunities—including scholarships, grants, loans, Graduate Assistantships, Tuition Reimbursement, and work-study—available to you as an MCAD student. Plus, Minneapolis is far cheaper to live in than other major cities. Compared to Minneapolis, Los Angeles is 68% more expensive, Seattle is 60% more expensive, NYC is 61% more expensive, and San Francisco is 132% more expensive, according to Sperling's cost of living comparison tool.
