Regarding COVID-19

Throughout this unprecedented time of great uncertainty due to ongoing concerns regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), MCAD has strived to put the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and faculty above all else.

We want you to know that as part of our community, the health and wellbeing of you and your family is also our priority. For this reason, we are looking to the next few months and trying to plan for an untraditional admission cycle and the impact it may have on you, an Admitted MCAD Student.

Here are a few updates regarding how enrollment processes have changed for admitted students:

  • All on-campus events are canceled until further notice, but please watch your email for weekly virtual event invitations. This includes all on-campus information sessions, campus tours, individual appointments, and events. Admitted Student Day was hosted as a virtual experience on March 28, 2020. Check out the recording of Admitted Student Day.
  • We have extended our enrollment deposit deadline to June 1. Admitted students do not need to provide any additional requirements, supplements, or explanations to take advantage of this deposit extension. Additionally, we understand that some families may be financially impacted because of the pandemic.  If you or your family is facing any extenuating financial circumstances, please contact us so we can work out an individual plan to help you successfully enroll at MCAD.
  • We will be flexible with the receipt of final transcripts, exams, and test scores. We know that a number of AP, ACT, and SAT exams are scheduled in the following weeks and months. We are closely monitoring this situation and will look to ACT and College Board for more information on how to proceed. Additionally, we understand with school closures that the release of transcripts may take additional time. We can assure you that you will not be negatively impacted by these delays in your enrollment to MCAD.
  • The most up-to-date information regarding admitted students and COVID-19 can be found on our FAQ page and at

We appreciate your patience as we address the impact of the health crisis. We are making many decisions in real time as we receive more information from public officials.
