Chaos and Composure: Ideation with Collage (in person) | Minneapolis College of Art and Design

Chaos and Composure: Ideation with Collage (in person)

This workshop is designed to help students think differently about the ideation process in a welcoming environment, where failure is celebrated and dialogue sparks innovation.

Course description

By following unexpected prompts, students quickly create a variety of 2D collage imagery that allows for imperfection and experimentation. Combining recently created and found imagery, students cut, tear, trade with others, and manipulate portions of existing collages to create new collages that expand the image making process. Example of prompts may be, collage only with torn elements or rotate orientation 90° every time a new element is added. This workshop is designed to help students ideate.

Open to students ages 18 and above. Review complete policies, including class cancellation policies, before completing your registration.
