Drawing Studio: Mythical Creature Design for Ages 12-15 (in person)

Dive into the world of mythical creatures and learn sketching, drawing and watercolor pencil techniques.

Course description

Mythical creatures are supernatural animals and beings that may not exist. Discuss popular mythical creatures and look at mythical, magical and fantasy artworks as inspiration to imagine creatures and create sketches. Receive constructive feedback from peers and the instructor throughout the process. Students will develop drawing techniques and concepts in pencil, pen, ink, and watercolor pencils. Students will design and create a final mythical creature illustration that will spark imagination and wonder. / Material fee of $14 included in tuition.

Class meeting details

This class meets in person on MCAD’s campus.

Required materials

Supplies for the first class
Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. The material fee for this class will cover the required supplies.

What to wear
Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.

Class savings
