Hand-drawn Animated Creatures for Ages 9-12 (in person)

Learn the basics of animation, covering frame by frame concepts and basic walk cycle technique in this very hands-on class.

Course description

Students will image and create creatures by drawing shapes, poses, and expressions in silhouette, taking inspiration from the real or imagined world. Drawings on the page will come to life using hand-drawn animation techniques and the process of creating frames. Inspiration can come from the creatures featured in Pokemon games, the fantasy novels Wings of Fire and Redwall, and the films of Studio Ghibli and Disney. / Materials fee of $18 included in tuition.
