Screenprinting is a direct printmaking technique that builds images from layers of color and can be used to create everything from custom silkscreened T-shirts to one-of-a-kind posters and fine art prints. Course descriptionExplore a combination of stenciled, hand-drawn, and painted techniques to complete multiple screenprints. Students with Photoshop skills have the option to use digitally output images. Through demonstrations, handouts, print samples, and informal critiques, the instructors provide an overview of what one can achieve with screenprinting. The class primarily focuses on work on paper, but also covers some basic T-shirt and fabric printing. Non-toxic, water-based inks are used. / Students have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the course. / Materials fee of $35 and facility fee of $87 included in tuition.
