Rock out in this class when making art inspired by the music. Create paintings, drawings, and sculptures that embody movement and music! Open to ages 9-12. Course descriptionJam out while learning about different artists such as Peter Max, Vasily Kandinsky, Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, as well as others. Explore visual representations of music through painting techniques, design your own musical instruments through sculpture, and illustrate album covers. Take a field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to see where artists go to get inspiration. The week will end with a fun exhibition for families and friends to view and enjoy the students’ creations. Who knows, maybe there will be a jam session! / No class on Friday of this week.
