Through connections between mythology, philosophy, scientific theory, current events, and personal experience I endeavor to understand how the characteristics and history of place influence my present lived reality. I record sound, still and moving image, document historical artifacts, paint, and write to create work spanning from installation and sound sculpture to digital video. TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & MENTORSHIP The MFA program at MCAD provides the time, space, and open structure to allow students to focus on their particular goals and to tailor what kind of experience they need in order to advance their creative practice. As a mentor, my role would be to discuss your trajectory and guide you along the way. Successful mentorship should open new ways of thinking, cultivate curiosity and growth, and champion daring, bold creative leaps that push past preconceived limitations.
