America, I sing back. Sing back what sung you in.
Sing back the moment you cherished breath.
Sing you home into yourself and back to reason.
Excerpt from “America, I Sing You Back,” by Allison Adelle Hedge Coke
The work in this group exhibition gives voice to hope: confronting the isolation of the Covid-19 pandemic, addressing historical and contemporary racial injustice, and strengthening the cultural connections that can unite us as a global community. Created or facilitated by MCAD alumni and affiliated faculty, these varied projects engage in physical acts of reclamation and proclamation.
