Fri, Apr 26, 2019, 1 –2 pm Auditorium 150 Visiting Artist Lecture Image Pouya Ahmadi Pouya Ahmadi is a self-described “Persian-bred, Swiss-educated and Chicago-based” designer, and his areas of research include Latin and non-Latin typography and type design, visual identity and publication design. Both educator and practitioner, he teaches Graphic Design at the UIC School of Design and maintains Studio Pouya Ahmadi where he works across cultural and social fields, collaborating with artists, curators, and designers developing brand identities, printed matter, and publications. Ahmadi's work has been featured by It's Nice That, AIGA Eye on Design, People of Print, Grafik, étapes, Type Directors Club, Ligature, Print, IdN, and the Golden Bee International Design Biennial, amongst others.
