Thu, Feb 20, 2020, 1 –2 pm Auditorium 150 Visiting Artist Lecture Image Rosemary Valero-O'Connell Rosemary Valero-O'Connell ’16 is an Ignatz and Harvey award winning cartoonist who was raised in Zaragoza, Spain and has a BFA in comic art from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design She's done work for ShortBox (What Is Left, Don't Go Without Me), DC Comics (Gotham Academy, Vertigo Quarterly), BOOM! Studios (Lumberjanes, Steven Universe), CAPY games (OK KO!: Let's Be Heroes), Crunchyroll, Mondo Tees, Kazoo Magazine, and the City Pages, among others. She's the co-creator of the graphic novel Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me alongside Mariko Tamaki, published by First Second in 2019. Her work has been been recognized by the Society of Illustrators NY and shown in galleries both locally and internationally. RSVP
