Tue, Jan 30, 2018, 1 –2 pm Auditorium 150 Visiting Artist Lecture Image Samara Golden Samara Golden ’95 is an installation artist who often combines sculpture, projected video, live video, and sound. Her most recent project The Meat Grinder's Iron Clothes was included in the 2017 Whitney Biennial and has received high praise from many major news outlets. She has had recent solo exhibitions at MoMA PS1, New York; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Night Gallery, Los Angeles; and CANADA, New York. Her work was featured in the 2014 Hammer Museum Biennial, Made in L.A., and Room to Live at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. In 2015, a monograph on Golden was published by MoMA PS1, and her work has been written about in ArtForum, Art in America, the New York Times, the New Yorker, Mousse, and Flash Art, among other publications. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
