Tue, Apr 23, 2013, 1 pm Auditorium 150 Visiting Artist Lecture Image Stuart Comer will present The Tanks at Tate Modern, a new exhibition space for film and performance. He will address projects that restaged important film, media, and performance works, and will discuss strategies for rethinking museums and their relationship to time, history, and community. All are welcome! Stuart Comer is curator of film at Tate Modern, London and co-curator of the forthcoming 2014 Whitney Biennial. A graduate of Carleton College and the Royal College of Art in London, Comer is editor of Film and Video Art (Tate Publishing, 2009) and has contributed to several publications and numerous periodicals including Artforum, Frieze, Afterall, Mousse, Partkett, and Art Review.
