Elissa Auther, associate professor of contemporary art at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and author of String, Felt, Thread: The Hierarchy of Art and Craft in American Art, served as the exhibition juror. The Juror's awards, as determined by Elissa Auther were: $500 to Amelia Biewald for Mutualism $300 to Brian Severns for Caldera and the Freddy Hubard Heat Stream $100 to Arlene Birt for her shawl project $100 to Kate Casanova for Inhabitant $100 to Angela Zammarelli for Portable Doll Fort The Minneapolis College of Art and Design is pleased to organize this show in conjunction with two events taking place in the Twin Cities: Northern Spark, Minnesota's first all-night arts festival, is taking place from sunset on June 4 to sunrise on June 5.
