When the sun sets at 9:00 p.m. and the church bells ring (listen!), the city awakes to a new sense of possibility. For eight hours and twenty-six minutes, the city surprises you: friendly crowds, ambitious art projects, an unexpected path through the urban landscape, the magic of sunrise after a night of amazing experiences. Disco Roller Printing Party Primary artist: Diana Eicher Project location: College Center, main building Engage, embrace, and summon your inner child! Come roller-skate to the sounds of the 1970s while you experiment with printmaking techniques. An Overture in Seven Parts Primary artist: David Andree Project location: Black and Grey studios, third floor, main building An Overture in Seven Parts is a continuous sound composition and multi-channel installation created in real time by a collective of seven artists. Can You Hear Me Now? You’ll Never Hear Me Again Primary artist: Hunter Jonakin Project location: Outdoor east wall projection Playable video game features fifty square blocks of urban wandering. Logjam Primary artist: Dave Beck Project location: Outdoor north wall projection Logjam asks the viewer to contemplate the cyclical process of death and rebirth, while also discovering the calming effect of chaos. Midnight Shadows Primary artists: Shannon Estlund, Mark Estlund, Scott Hochhalter, and Nathan Lewis Project locations: Morrison building, Skywalk, and Target Park Stars hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep desires; The eye wink at the hand; yet let that be, Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see.
