Jennifer Silus is an art educator working in the Twin Cities. She received her Art Education degree from the University of Iowa and completed her master’s in education at Hamline University. She has enjoyed teaching Painting and Drawing, Ceramics and Graphic Design at the secondary level.

Silus’ personal work as an artist explores landscape, nature, and themes from childhood. She enjoys working with many mediums including drawing, watercolors, acrylics, bookmaking, multimedia paintings and ceramics. She recently completed a series of lidded vessels.

Jennifer brings over 20 years of experience working with K-12 students in the public schools. She loves the creative process and encourages students to connect their own experiences with the art that they are making.
