Faculty Title Instructor Degree Michaela Maupin is a Minneapolis based artist and educator currently teaching elementary art in Mounds View. Maupin has previously taught art in an IB charter school as well as an International school in the United Arab Emirates. Maupin strives to create a safe, student centered learning space where students feel empowered to grow their creative thinking skills along with their passion for art through experimenting with a variety of artistic mediums, risk taking, and allowing time for creative play. Maupin's current artistic practice focuses on the use of texture and color theory through a variety of mixed media.
