November 04, 2020 Ben Moren Meet the artists of the 2020 MCAD Faculty Biennial My current work stems from my long standing love of technology and filmmaking. Following Jean Baudrillard, I refer to the disappearance of separation as hyperreality, and continued research of the hyperreal has led me to create mixed reality, pervasive gaming, and digital/physical simulation installation and performance projects. My work is situated within the human and digital divide and their ever evaporating separation, with a focus on human relationships to the natural world. I am currently working on a new body of images, videos, and installations of simulated environments which are generated from Artificial Intelligence Generative Adversarial Networks.
