Describe the work you submitted for merits.

Viewing technology as less of a prescribed structure and more of a blank canvas. Anonymous connection and giving a voice to inanimate objects, using performance to magnify our bodies as shadows of our labor.

Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

I chose MCAD because of the Web and Multimedia Environments program. It gives students the conceptual freedom and technical skills to create art that excites in a field that lies within the fringe of the unknown.

What are your plans for your senior year? And beyond?

I plan to continue my studies of creative programming and normalize ART in Tech outside of MCAD. My ultimate goal is to expand fine art thinking into the world of coding and technology, where infinite possibilities wait. 

Anything you're obsessed with at the moment? 

Web scraping!

What inspires you?

I am currently inspired by mundane and domesticated work, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, making a grilled cheese, and cutting off the crust for my son. Once you find the beauty in the everyday, everyday is inspiring.
