I submitted a comic from my Intro to Comics class, plus works from illustration classes as well. Why did you decide to come to MCAD? I’ve always wanted to attend an art university but what made MCAD stand out to me was the Comic Art program! Plus it is in my hometown so I can visit my family and my dog, Feta, on a regular basis. What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make? I have a lot of comic story ideas in my brain right now and all of them really excite me. I'm looking forward to summer when I can start turning my ideas into comic panels! Favorite thing about college life (so far)? My favorite thing about college life (specifically art college) is being able to receive and provide feedback on artwork with fellow artists. love the community of artists that I'm surrounded by at college because they inspire me and totally understand how exciting and exhausting art can sometimes be! What inspires you? I am inspired a lot by books and movies, but more than that I think I'm inspired by nature, animals, and the people in my life. Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it! My favorite piece I've made probably has to be an oil painting of Gonzo and Rizzo in the Muppets Christmas Carol movie. I actually shipped the painting to my long distance friend and part of me wishes I made a print of it to keep for myself before I sent it away... Anything you're obsessed with at the moment? I am obsessed with the Sims 4 game. It is an addiction, I just can't stop building really elaborate homes for my Sims and I spend way too long decorating and pretending that I'm a world class interior designer.
