I have always used photo and video as a way to move through the world around me, I decided to come to MCAD to further my knowledge of those processes! What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make? I’m doing research for a photo series I hope to accomplish in the studio setting with the 4x5 format camera- it’s focused on my generations relationship with technology- our dependence on it, and its influence on our perception of self, relationships, and intimacy. Favorite thing about college life (so far)? My beautiful group of friends who are my collaborators and loves of my life. What inspires you? When I am outside in the pockets of nature throughout the twin cities, when I’m camping in my home state of Oregon, and when I am in those places with the ones I love most. Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it! My freshman year I got to experiment with welding and metal working- I made a human heart from steel. And now it serves as a totem above the entrance to my home, protecting me and my friends from harm. Anything you're obsessed with at the moment?
