Describe the work you submitted for merits.

The work I submitted for Merits is a mixture of analog and digital. So far, my work seeks to explore convergence between human and machine.

Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

MCAD has an incredibly strong sense of community and solidarity between artists, it's a special place and I treasure my time here.

What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make?

Some really giant paintings based on references I create using photoshop.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

Interacting with likeminded people and talented artists every day.

What inspires you?

Machines, aliens, pain and suffering, orca whales. To name a few.

Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it!

At the moment it's probably the final project I made for Drawing 2. It's a 30 by 44 inch charcoal drawing of a digital collage I made. It explores themes of digital violence and the internet's effect on human psyche.

Anything you're obsessed with at the moment?

Any song with screaming in it!
