September 10, 2024 Image Aimee Hucek ‘84 recently had her design, Dogs on Parade, added to The Museum of Modern Art’s iconic holiday card collection. For over 75 years, MoMA’s Holiday Card Program has featured innovative designs by established and emerging artists. Evolving from flat cards to intricate pop-ups and 3D creations, the Museum selects designs through an open call, reviewing submissions for creativity, paper use, and holiday spirit. Since 2004, Hucek has contributed to MoMA’s holiday card collection. This year, her whimsical card showcases a festive array of dogs in their holiday best, heading to a party with gifts in tow. Hucek shares, “So many people I’ve encountered in my travels were accompanied by dogs of all shapes and sizes, many of which were dressed up in colorful sweaters and coats. I thought it would be fun to create a card where all different types of dogs were heading to their own holiday party, bearing gifts and dressed in their best holiday finery.”Learn MoreThe Story of MoMA Holiday Cards (store.moma.org) Explore more about Aimee Hucek
