Her prints and ceramics are informed by Chinoiserie, the early 18th-century European style intended to evoke and imitate Chinese designs and patterns. Her use of these aesthetics reflects how her self-perception varies from the ones projected onto her by others. Many of the ceramic pieces are based around food, togetherness, culture, and how they've shaped her identity. The exhibit debuted at the College of Saint Benedict’s Gorecki Gallery on October 28 and runs through December 7.Double Consciousness, Double Happiness 囍 October 28–December 7, 2024 College of Saint Benedict’s Gorecki Gallery (St. Joseph, MN)Learn MoreNew art exhibit at CSB explores artist’s dual perception of herself(csbsju.edu) Explore more about Anika Schneider
