July 26, 2024 Image The Mill City Museum and the Stone Arch Bridge Festival partnered with Art to Change the World to present 100 Feet of Art and History. Supported by a grant from the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Board, this initiative enriched community engagement through public art along West River Parkway near the museum. The installation, held on June 15 and 16, featured works by six local artists selected through a rigorous process, including Kelly Frankenberg ‘03 and MFA mentor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Owen Brown. Highlights included interactive experiences on women in the textile industry, storytelling about the river's history, and a giant monarch butterfly sculpture. This collaboration celebrated Minneapolis's cultural heritage through innovative public art, offering both reflection and engagement for attendees.
