Leslie Barlow ’16, MFA, is on track to present a sci-fi/future/fantasy themed event in Northeast Minneapolis.

The event, titled ConFluence, is a pop culture convention centered around (and for) the BIPOC community. Held Saturday, November 18th, and Sunday, November 19th, the event will include workshops, panels, exhibitions, a vendor marketplace, a gaming area, and a cosplay contest.

"My hope is that ConFluence is a gathering place that is fun, nerdy, inclusive, inspiring, and liberatory" Barlow has said about creating ConFluence; "and that folks who maybe think comic-con isn’t ‘for them’ find this event to be the gateway to a multiverse of possibilities".
