MCAD’s open and grassy campus makes it a favorite stop for our canine neighbors and their owners.

Walks, runs, play sessions, and relaxation are all able to be enjoyed and observed by us on campus. I caught up with some of the dogs that romp around campus and their owners for a little insight into their adventures around MCAD.

Winston the black lab

SPOTTED: WINSTON!
Winston is a three-year-old black lab rescue who frequents on campus here at the MCAD. Winston and his owner Sean have been spending more time together at MCAD recently and have been enjoying having a grassy and quiet place in their neighborhood to relax and picnic together.
Awarded: Most likely to do anything for a treat!

Charlie the springer spaniel and his owner

SPOTTED: CHARLIE!
I caught up with Charlie, an energetic five-year-old English Springer Spaniel, and his owner enjoying a brisk afternoon stroll together through campus. Charlie is as curious and playful as a young pup and although he was a little confused by the camera he sure did make a great model!
Awarded: Shiniest coat!

Sophie the rescue dog

SPOTTED: SOFI!
Sassy Sofi was spotted having a socially distanced outing with her owner and friends. This social pup is a roughly four-year-old mixed breed who was rescued by owner Pamela from Puerto Rico, when Sofi was displaced after the hurricane.
Awarded: Miss Congeniality!

Sunshine the pitt mix, smiling!

SPOTTED: SUNSHINE!
This smiley girl is a five-year-old rescue who frequents around campus—owner Mark claims MCAD is their favorite spot in the neighborhood! The pair enjoys the quiet area along with spotting other dogs around campus. Sunshine posed for the camera and even showed off her award-winning grin!
Awarded: Most infectious smile!

Bella the terrier (left) and Frank the pug (right)

SPOTTED: BELLA AND KEVIN!
I caught up with Bella, Kevin, and their owners who claim they are “best friends!...most of the time!” This sassy duo was prepared and excited for their time in the spotlight, while also mildly wrestling each other at the same time. Kevin was even sporting a stylish fall hoodie.
Awarded (courtesy of the owners):
Kevin: Most cuddly; most likely to push the laptop over when you’re working!
Bella: Most likely to comfort you; most likely to bark at anything!
