March 13, 2025 Image Allegra Lockstadt ’10 and Angela St. Vrain ’23 MCAD alumni Allegra Lockstadt ’10 and Angela St. Vrain ’23 will be presenting new work in parallel exhibitions at Silverwood Park Gallery in St. Anthony, Minnesota. The opening reception of both exhibits is on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.In Light Over Boundary, Allegra Lockstadt shares intimate paintings depicting scenes and spaces at night, and she also shares a collection of paintings that feature plants found on the edges of trail systems and fields. Both of these subject matters explore the definition of arbitrary and intentional spatial boundaries while further questioning what’s visible versus hidden, what’s public versus private, and what is meant for all versus just a few.Our Built Environment by Angela St. Vrain is an installation that uses construction and home-improvement materials to create an artificial lake setting inside a gallery. Linoleum tile, 2x4 studs, and faux brick are used to make maps of parks, communities, and homes. The work explores themes of privacy, public access, and temporality, particularly from the viewpoint of a renter living in an urban area. Both exhibits will be on view from March 13, 2025, through April 30, 2025. The Silverwood Park Gallery is free to the public and open daily 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.Light Over BoundarySilverwood Park Gallery (Saint Anthony, MN)March 13–April 30, 2025Our Built EnvironmentSilverwood Park Gallery (Saint Anthony, MN)March 13–April 30, 2025Learn MoreArt at Silverwood(threeriversparks.org) Explore more about Allegra Lockstadt Angela St. Vrain
