Double Debut of Graphic Novels by MCAD Alumni

MCAD alumni Tyler Page ’02 and Ursula Murray Husted ’07 will be celebrating the release of their new graphic novels at the Red Balloon Bookshop on March 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The celebration will be a conversation with each other, moderated by local fellow cartoonist K. Woodman-Maynard followed by a book signing.

Extra Large by Tyler Page, is the memoir of a young boy in middle school navigating the new challenges of bullying, weight gain, and body expectations. Botticelli's Apprentice by Ursula Murrary Husted is based in Renaissance Italy and follows a young girl and her dream of becoming the apprentice of Botticelli.
