The Hopkins Center for the Arts had its opening reception for Emergence: Creativity, Illness and Healing by MCAD alumi Gail Wallinga ’24, on October 24. This collection is inspired by her struggle with Lyme disease and the healing process and is intended to bring awareness to invisible disability.

The collection includes paintings and sculpture installations that portray different aspects of her experience while healing. Through her works, she displays the creativity and beauty that can spawn from difficult experiences. The exhibit runs from October 24 to December 1.
