December 10, 2024 Image All My Relations Arts, in partnership with the Emerging Curators Institute and the Native American Community Development Institute, is excited to present Niimiwin: Bijiinag igo ingii-azhegiiwe gaa-niimi’iding, an innovative multimedia exhibition curated by 2023-2024 Emerging Curators Fellow, Josie Hoffman ’20 (Grand Portage Ojibwe). Niimiwin, meaning "Everyone Dance" in Anishinaabemowin, explores the intersection of movement and identity through the lens of contemporary Indigenous art. The exhibit highlights the kinetic energy that shapes Indigenous life and culture, drawing inspiration from dance, powwow traditions, and the living relationship between body, land, and community.“As you engage with this exhibition, we encourage you to reflect on how movement shapes and defines your own connections to land, body, and community,” said Hoffman, whose curatorial vision draws on her own artistic journey, where themes of environment, mental health, family, and cultural history converge.Niimiwin: Bijiinag igo ingii-azhegiiwe gaa-niimi’iding Exhibition November 7, 2024—January 18, 2025 All My Relations Gallery (Minneapolis, MN) Learn MoreAll My Relations Arts, Emerging Curators Institute and the Native American Community Development Institute announce the debut of Niimiwin: Bijiinag igo ingii-azhegiiwe gaa-niimi’iding (allmyrelationsart.org) Explore more about Josie Hoffman
