February 09, 2023 Image Ian Hanesworth Ian Hanesworth ’18 is presenting their first art exhibition at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. The installation, Fragments of this Living Earth, showcases the critical interconnectedness of human and ecological well-being and embodies a mindset of reverence and kinship with land. This exhibition includes their Medicine Kin series, an installation of six large-scale botanical relief prints on hand-dyed fabrics, and Garden Editions, a new series of prints portraying plants that thrive in the museum's gardens. Hanesworth is a recipient of the Jerome Emerging Textile Artist Project Grant and a MN State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and has presented installations at the Minnesota Textile Center and Silverwood Park in Minneapolis.
