April 15, 2024 Image Daren Hill ’17 was recently interviewed about his exhibition on display at the Hennepin History Museum. The Bond Between Us opened at the museum last April, and is an exploration of the artistic vision of three generations of Minnesota men bonded by a single artform, curated by Hill. Recently, the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder has talked to Hill and went in-depth about his exhibit and his thought process on making it. "A lot of my art explores the commodification of culture and the fact that society has this want to commodify culture," Hill says. "We have a scrapbook where I allowed them to kind of share their thoughts about my grandfather and what he did, and that was also important for me because as much as it’s like my show, it’s all of our work."
