Dakota Hoska '12 was recently featured in an interview regarding the Denver Art Museum.

The piece, which was published in the Denver Gazette in December, focuses on the DAM's collection of Indigenous art collection, which is currently sitting north of 18,000 pieces. Hoska, a citizen of the Oglala Lakhota Nation, is the associate curator of Native Arts at the DAM, and educates visitors about lesser-known aspects of Native arts that have been excluded from European-centric artistic canons and conversations.

"For Native audiences," Hoska states, "I hope they can see themselves reflected in our galleries and that they feel comfortable, safe, and welcome here. I hope young people feel inspired and proud of all the accomplishments their relatives have made artistically."
