John Pistelli dicusses 'The Major Arcana' on 'The Recovering Academic'

MCAD faculty member John Pistelli recently had a conversation with Joshua Doležal on Doležal’s podcast The Recovering Academic. They discussed a variety of literary topics and publishing including Pistelli’s novel The Major Arcana.

Pistelli recalled how he’d enjoyed graphic novels and comics from a very young age, and his experience teaching classes about graphic novels and comic analysis re-sparked his intrigue and served as inspiration for his newest novel. The Major Arcana is a multi-generational saga that follows an occultist comic book writer in the 90’s, and several decades later an occultist online influencer. The book is slated published physically by Belt Publishing in 2025.
