December 07, 2024 Image Jonathan Enslow ’19, IT Manager at Metal Tech MFG, has spearheaded a successful transformation in the company’s business-to-business integration and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes using OpenText Business Network Cloud Foundation. The company, which makes precision-machines components for global agricultural machinery brands, was facing inefficiencies due to manual processing of up to 3,000 EDI transactions a month. Enslow worked with OpenText to integrate its legacy enterprise resource planning system (ERP) with OpenText's cloud platform, streamlining operations and ensuring timely, accurate document delivery. The automation has already saved the company hundreds of hours annually, with employees now able to focus on higher-value tasks, such as training and process improvement. The project paid for itself within a year and is expected to save Metal Tech MFG $200,000 annually once fully implemented."Although cost-savings are welcome, what excites us most about EDI automation is the ability to save time and focus on our customers," said Enslow.Learn MoreMetal Tech MFG optimizes its B2B integration and EDI automation capabilities (blogs.opentext.com—November 4, 2024) Explore more about Jonathan Enslow
