In a heartfelt tribute to her hometown, Anne Labovitz, a Minneapolis College of Art and Design faculty member, has unveiled a striking new art installation titled North Shore Blue.

Featured on WCCO, Labovitz describes the project as her most personal public art endeavor, designed to celebrate the beauty of Lake Superior. The project, which took two years to complete, comprises four parts, including a large-scale suspended sculpture and vibrant drapery made from Tyvek that captures the essence of the lake's changing moods.

"North Shore Blue is a monumental love letter to Lake Superior and the city of Duluth," Labovitz shared during her interview with hosts Erin Hassanzadeh and Jeff Wagner.

Visitors can experience the installation at the Holiday Center in Duluth, MN. The installation invites viewers to engage with the artwork up close, where they can discover hidden stories and names woven into the fabric.
