Lang Awarded Distinguished Artist of the Year

Gregory Lang ’01, a founding member of Fatherless (along with Javier Jimenez and Dave Menard), was recently awarded Distinguished Artist of the Year by the Rockford Area Arts Council in recognition for contributions and representation of the art community in Rockford, Illinois. Highlighted by their two large-scale murals in the downtown area last summer that focused on unity and inclusiveness.

Fatherless hails from the US and is a collaborative screenprint effort best described as a “Visual mixtape of shenagination.” No two prints are ever alike. Influences are many and certainly captured by what we have coined as a “Rust Belt Power Pop.”
