MCAD Assistant Professor in Fine Arts, Avigail Manneberg, will be displaying an exhibition at the Rosalux Gallery this June.

The show, titled Power Play, explores the intersection of the personal and political in current events, and will consist of new paintings done by Manneberg. In addition to the show, an opening reception will be held on June 8.

"In my work," Manneberg says in her artist statement, "I process current personal and political events. I think about the destruction of home at various scales – destruction of households, destruction of homelands, and destruction of relationships. Destruction breeds turmoil and crisis; it scrambles individuals’ and communities’ sense of identity. These events ignited a deep introspection into the ways power is perceived and wielded, whether in intimate relationships or on a global scale."
