MCAD Considered in Top U.S. Art Schools

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design has been ranked as one of the top fifteen art schools in the United States (as of 2025) by the website Art & Object.

The rankings are weighed across tuition costs, ranges of majors, endowments, post-graduation employment rates, diversity and inclusion levels, student-faculty ratio, and quality of life in the surrounding city. For MCAD, which placed ninth on the list of fifteen, the school has the second-lowest tuition cost, an "optimistic" acceptance rate of 75%, close proximity to the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), and a diverse student demographic.
