"STOP:See" Exhibition

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design presents a dual exhibition featuring second-year MFA candidates Madeleine Kaudy and Mubarak Al-Thani. Co-curated by Carolyn Swiszcz and Nathanael Flink, STOP:See explores urban themes through distinctive artistic lenses.

The exhibition showcases selections from Kaudy and Al-Thani's parallel yet distinct bodies of work, both centered on the texture and expansiveness of urban environments. Kaudy's work delves into the interplay of artificial light and urban structures, mapping form and color to states of mind, while Al-Thani's paintings and sculptures deconstruct and reassemble urban elements to explore the inherent imperfections of cityscapes.

Swiszcz '94 is known for her vibrant, affectionately rendered landscapes and architectural forms. Flink '94 brings his experience in curating and exhibiting both nationally and internationally to this collaborative effort.

The opening reception was on August 30, 6:00–9:00 p.m.
