January 04, 2025 Image Bella Femrite, a current White Bear Lake senior, intends to major in illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Femrite discovered her love of digital illustration over quarantine in 2020 when she says she “asked for an iPad for Christmas. I downloaded Procreate, and just started doing stuff.” She also notes that part of the draw to illustration, both traditional and digital, is that she feels it allows her to describe the indescribable and serves as her outlet. Her decision to attend MCAD was informed by her wanting to expand her skill set and begin doing landscapes and more detailed pieces.
