Minneapolis College of Art and Design Joins Sun City Portfolio Day to Support El Paso’s Emerging Artists

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design was among nineteen colleges and universities participating in this year’s Sun City Portfolio Day, an event to connect high school and college art students in El Paso with top art schools nationwide.

Held on January 24 at the El Paso Community College Administrative Services Center, the event saw over five-hundred students from El Paso Community College, Ysleta, Socorro, and other districts. The event, which eliminated the need for travel, was an invaluable opportunity for local students to receive on-the-spot critiques and scholarship offers.
