Nelson's Art On Display at the Regis Center for Art

Ryan Gerald Nelson ’07 will be featured alongside Lindsay Rhyner at the Regis Center for Art's Quarter Gallery. The exhibition, entitled Soft Burn—Hard Reset, is part of the University of Minnesota Department of Art's Emerging Artist Program.

"My works respond to and imagine the metamorphosis of the Image (its particles coalescing, compressing, degrading, etc.) as it moves through mediated landscapes," Nelson has stated. "The Image, while spending most of its existence in a state of visibility and signal, does not arrive nor depart from that state of being without a major transformation of its vast amount of constituent parts."
