Presented by the Whitewater Arts Alliance, painter Woody Olsen ’76 and ceramic artist Jennifer Alexander exhibit The Beauty of Nature to celebrate their profound appreciation for the natural world.

With over forty years of residency in Chicago, including living in Mies Van Der Rohe’s iconic modernist Esplanade apartments on Lake Shore Drive, Olsen brings a wealth of artistic experience and insight to his pieces. Olsen’s expressive watercolors invite viewers into a realm of joy and tranquility. His vibrant hues and fluid brushstrokes offer glimpses of playfulness and happiness, providing a respite from the complexities of modern life.

The Beauty of Nature Exhibition

  • Located at the Cultural Arts Center (Whitewater, WI), open Thursdays through Sundays from noon–4:00 p.m.
  • Artists' Talk with Olsen and Alexander: June 6, 5:00–7:00 p.m.
