Pre-College Summer Session: Animation

What surprised you the most about the Pre-College Summer Session (PCSS)?

I was surprised by how many friends I made while at PCSS and how much fun I had.

What aspect of the program has had the biggest impact on you?

The close-knit community within the animation major relieved the stress from the final project, and the critiques we had were really educational.

How has your artistic practice changed from being a part of the program?

I'm more cognizant of how to clearly express my ideas and have them be portfolio ready. I also think the program showed me that there's nothing wrong with being experimental.

What was your favorite experience, outside of the classroom?

My favorite experience was hanging out with my new friends. Watching movies in the college center with my friends after a hard day's work was definitely a highlight for me.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about coming to PCSS?

The first couple nights are really hard and you're gonna want to go home, but by the time PCSS ends you don't want to leave. Also, bring your own pillow.
