Alumni Hannah Hendrix and Ashleyn Przedwiecki have been accepted into the FINNOVATION Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program beginning in September 2021 for their purpose-driven businesses. The program will run until June 2022 and push the fellows to solve social or environmental issues through innovative business models.

Hendrix is the founder of Flour Power Delivery, a bakery and delivery service primarily serving the disabled community in the Twin Cities. They will use the fellowship to expand the mission of Flour Power into a social enterprise that eliminates access barriers to food and the kitchen for disabled people, using consultation and food delivery services that center disabled people and their experiences.

Przedwiecki is tackling waste and the environmental footprint of the events industry by creating a sustainable events academy and creative design agency educating designers and industry professionals on building sustainable and social impact practices into their own businesses and events.

Hendrix and Przedwiecki will be joined by seven other accepted applicants. Jacquie Berglund, FINNOVATION Lab, and FINNEGANS Brew Co. Founder, says of the fellows, "This is a promising group of entrepreneurs. Starting a business, especially in the social impact space, is incredibly challenging. One of the primary prerequisites is to have passion for creating change, and that is evident within each of the selected fellows.”
