Rath to Exhibit Newest Series in New York

Ed Rath ’74

MCAD Alumni Ed Rath ’74 is set to display a new body of work Nirvana/Urbana at the Noho M55 Gallery on December 5. The exhibit also features a collaboration with Japanese fashion designer Satoru Sasaki, and his ornate designs inspired by Rath’s paintings.

The series features seven landscape paintings and seven cityscape paintings that contrast serene and pastoral settings with urban bustling ones, and explore how humans interact with both. Rath’s sketchbooks show early explorations and studies that developed into the recurring themes throughout these works.
