February 08, 2023 Image Faculty member Craig Laurence Rice was recently featured in the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal as a Black Leader. Rice is an award-winning producer and director, receiving three Emmy nominations and an NAACP Image Award nomination for his 2000 HBO documentary Half Past Autumn: The Life and Works of Gordon Parks. Rice is also a senior film programmer at the MSP Film Society, a 60-year-old organization dedicated to exhibiting international, independent cinema. The society directly operates The Main Cinema in St. Anthony Main and programs the Capri Theater in north Minneapolis, as well as hosting events like Cine Latino and the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival.
