November 09, 2021
The zine "Queer Masses" is displayed with several other merchandise items around it

Sarah Evenson '16 and Jade Juno ’16, who work under the name RUMTUM Press, are seeing lots of success with their collaborative zine Queer Masses.

Queer Masses has been nominated for the Broken Pencil 2021 award in the subcategory Best Art Zine with their zine Queer Masses. The goal of the Zine Awards has been to honor outstanding work coming out of the ever-expanding zine universe and to acknowledge the talent and hard work of emerging, establishing, and experimental self-publishers for their contributions to zine culture.

In addition, the Queer Masses has been acquired by the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the special collections at New York University, University of Oregon, University of Iowa, Macalaster College, Hennepin County Library, MCAD, and SAIC.

Queer Masses will be on exhibition culminating Queer Masses and MCBA Jerome Fellowship, opening this week.
